R-steryl is the sorting center used downstream the Ecosteryl. This unique process in the world sorts decontaminated medical waste for recycling.
R-steryl adapts to each customer: based on the waste to recover and market conditions.
Typically, the sorted waste can be divided asfollows: 60% as PP (Polypropylene) and PE (Polyethylene) which will be transformed into granules, used as raw materials for the plastics industry; 20% as light waste, used as refuse-derived fuel; 20%, the residual fraction, today not economically valuable, will follow the usual landfill process.
