Our Testing & Certification Services

We will periodically test and certify your operational clean rooms, clean-air devices or mini-environments to ensure continued compliance of critical parameters such as:

  • airborne particle levels (cleanliness class)
  • airflow velocity
  • pressurisation and temperature/RH
We provide training for your technicians and engineers in:
  • Cleanroom/Mini-environment Performance Testing and Certification
  • ISO Cleanroom Standards and Application
  • Implementation of a Monitoring Plan for Periodic Verification of Clean Rooms
  • Basics of Cleanroom Testing

Our training sessions incorporate practical exercises and can be delivered either as a half-day or full-day seminar.

We will assess your cleanroom facilities and provide a written monitoring plan based on ISO 14644-2 Cleanroom guidelines. This plan covers:

  • frequency of re-testing
  • sampling plan
  • parameters to be monitored
  • acceptance limits
  • remedial-action or contingency plans
  • compliance verification plans
  • training requirements

We will survey your clean room or clean environment for particle contamination. This will involve a series of tests and data collection via real-time monitoring of the hardware/software and may include an air visualisation study to assess the airflow within the clean room.

We will then make recommendations for the reduction and control of the contamination.

Testing of materials like fans, motors, fan filter units, conveyor parts, etc., to ascertain their compatibility to cleanroom cleanliness classes with regard to particulation. This involves the formulation of a detailed test plan based on the:
  • test methodology
  • monitoring parameters
  • monitoring duration
  • criteria for acceptance

In most cases, the conclusion is drawn based on a proper statistical analysis of the results obtained.

Some clean rooms are vulnerable to intermittent particle contamination and longer-term studies need to be conducted to ascertain the sources of the contamination.

Appropriately placed remote particle sensors and software monitor the particle trends at different locations within the cleanroom facility over time. The results are analysed and the sources of contamination identified so that remedial action can be taken.

These studies can take between one week and a few months to complete depending on the individual circumstances.

We use standard or modified particle counters to measure the airborne particle counts within compressed air piping, de-ionized water and speciality tools within clean-air devices, according to recognised test methods and protocols.
